Livery Training Stables offers training and boarding for your horse as well as riding instruction.
Training
The farm is located on a quiet street in the rural village of Corrales. We offer training for both the horse and rider. In full training, your horse’s training program is designed for his success and your budget. We encourage owners to come and participate by taking lessons or the like as the training progresses.
Riding Instruction
Kathy takes dedicated riders to the top of their game while keeping their goals in mind. Whether you are a beginning rider or experienced and want to improve your technique or show your horse, Kathy will help you develop a program for success. Both private and group lessons are available in a safe relaxed atmosphere.
Livery Training Stable has competent reliable school horses available if you do not own your own horse.
To help her students enjoy being with horses, Kathy also teaches complete horsemanship including: proper grooming and tacking up, safely handling your horse, basic horse health – including hoof care ,general first aid, health maintainance and nutrition. and to the importance of the care of your tack.
Boarding
Livery Training Stables has a barn with 12’ X 12’ stalls with 20’ individual runs. Outside stabling consists of shed rows with 12’ X 24’ covered corrals. Each horse is turned out for “recess” daily. We feed quality grass hay and/or alfalfa twice daily, and grain and supplements are fed in accordance with each horse’s need. Stalls and water troughs are cleaned regularly. Night check brings a treat and gives the horse’s that one last look before the evening ends. The facility has a riding and jumping arena with sand footing and a full compliment of jumps. A small trail area is under construction.
